This group is dedicated to men of all ages who have or may required the surgical removal of their foreskin as adults and men who have the experience to having been both cut and uncut. It is the hope of this group to have open discussion about the pros and cons and the conditions that required it's members to have the procedure done. aesthetic circumcision
Return to DiscussionsHi Berny
You are a good looking man and doesn't appear that you have an overly long foreskin, but the choice is yours and yours alone if you go down the road of an adult circumcision for appearance rather than medical reasons.
I was cut as a baby and don't know any different at least not in having that additional skin, the difference in sensations, etc.
Yes you have to roll it back when in shower to ensure complete hygene but all guys have to ensure that area of our body is clean and fresh for hygienic reasons, you may be slightly more at risk of being caught in zipper if freeballing etc.
But to my way of thinking is it worth the pain as I am sure there would be for an extended period while healing, but you are doing your research the right way by talking to doctor first, then asking general opinions from others but ultimately it comes down to you making the right choice for yourself when you are ready,
Remember once that additional skin is gone there is no going back so take your time and be sure that is what you want.
I have seen many guys naked at beach, dinner parties etc and some are intact and others cut makes no difference.
Good luck in making your choice
Hey Berny! Ive heard for an adult, its a very painful surgery to recover from. Im cut. I wish I could have had the option, but I was cut as a baby. For me, I think the aesthetics of an intact male are more pleasing. I hear sex, or even masturbation is better with a foreskin. Once its gone, you might regret it... Good luck on that decision. Lets meet up and hang out sometime!!
Hi Benny, I was circumcised as an adult due to medical reasons and have no regrets, not only do I prefer the look and feel of my cut penis, but it's definitely is easier to keep clean and smelling fresh.
With regards to the pain, in my particular case I felt little to no pain, I just felt a little discomfort for the first week especially when I'd get an erection - at times it felt like the stitches would tear, but never did. In the second week the glans were super sensitive, causing embarrassing erections but that went away within that week.
I've been lucky to know what it's like to be both uncut and cut and I personally prefer being cut.
Best of luck with your decision and feel free to contact me should you have any further questions.
i want to get circumcised only for aesthetic reasons. i dont like my foreskin. i always look to mens cut penis and i thinks is better. i went to doctor and said that its possible to do. what do you think about?
My view is your body your choice but 50% of your most sensitive nerve endings are in that area, the ease of many sex acts is reduced somewhat and it's not essential or easily reversed. I'm curious as to how much of your current feeling is related to how others respond to your penis than your own innate feelings. The normative standards of beauty are unfortunately applied here too and the culture we live in is oppressive of difference. In the end it's your happiness but is it this that will solve the problem in your mind or will there be more?
My parents cut me when they moved to the US, even though it is not part of their culture, and I have spent years to restore my foreskin. It's longer now and sufficient to use when I masturbate, now without lube, but doesn't cover my glans normally. I wish I were not cut.
Is the grass always greener on the other side? Perhaps. One change you might not be aware of is called keratinization, or the build up of tougher shield skin cells to protect the sensitive nerve endings of the glans. The way that I see it, an uncut penis has soul, spirit soul, and a cut one sole, as in shoe sole. The aesthetics being cut is that you are always 100% naked or exposed. The appeal of being intact is that your nakedness and beauty is more nuanced and your sensitivity more enhanced.
I respect your decision and wish you a fruitful discernment process.
Hi Berny, we had the chance to talk about it, and I agree with most of the guys who already responded, if it's what makes you more comfortable then that's the right thing to do. Personally I wouldn't do that to myself, but I'm not you! You look great the way you are already. Try this experiment, flip a coin after you decided what side is "circumcision", then see what comes up, the reaction you have to that result will tell you what you really want. Ciao!
Hi Bernie,hi everyone
I am italian and as you all probably know,we only get cut for medical reasons.
I am glad to have my foreskin intact and i must confess that to get cut as an adult,is one of my biggest fear.
I have a long foreskin and in sex and most of all in masturbation,it's a great part of the play.
It would be a disaster not having it after 45 years...
I am sharing this with you all just as a point of view,it's good to talk about that between us and sharing opinions.
Max
hey berny, i made it for the same reasons, it was already 6 years ago and i do not regret it one time, i would always do it again but thank god, this unnecessary piece does not grow
I can only recommend it to you and just do not listen to the "I heard" all bullshit, both masturbating and sex of any kind is just wonderful
I know that some people were ridiculed in the past for not being circumcised but I would say a majority (perhaps over 60 per cent) of U.S. men these days are uncut. You said that you look at their penis and you think it looks better. Could it be by any chance you were made to feel ashamed about your foreskin growing up?
Ultimately the choice is up to you. I do believe most doctors who are not biased will tell you that unless there is a medical need for you to get cut, it is best you leave it as is. Doctors in the U.S. have been known to recommend circumcision for literally no reason. Parents these days are neglecting to have the procedure because not only does it cost money (incentive for them to pressure circumcision), but there's no medical reason for it.
