I was able to escape to Avalon on Wednesday (6/25/25) for the day. It was near perfection.

This was the first time I was there for a mid-week day with no food service or other planned activities. That worked out very fine. I packed a lunch and some water and pop, but I didn't pack too much food beyond that as I knew that hunger would be the only way to get myself dressed and back in the car.

There were about 8-12 people around the pool at any given time. Over the course of the day, I would estimate about 25 came through. Mostly couples. Several were at Avalon for a couple days and were on their first visit to the place.

When I walked around the grounds, I saw others who did not make it over to the pool during the 7 hours I was there. There were also people working on painting the Oasis. When the took breaks, they stripped off, showered, and cooled off in the pool. I could use a benefit like that at my job!
