Being seen by the Neighbors
Return to DiscussionsAs the temps outside have increased, so has my project list for the garage and our vehicles. When in the garage I work on things with the door open. I usually turn the cars around and back them up to the garage door opening. We both own Jeeps so both tops and their high-profile stance provides quite a bit of screening. We're not 100% screened off and it is apparent that the neighbors across the street have seen us through the gap between the cars. They've not said anything to us nor have the cops visited us, so I think they are tolerant of it and feel we're at least trying to cover our activities.
With regards to the backyard, our next-door neighbors continue to catch glimpses and sightings almost on a daily basis. When they are on a ladder trimming up our privacy trees, on their side, they've seen us both working out back or going back and forth to our storage sheds. Last evening, we were having some snacks and a glass of wine on the patio and our male neighbor looked over and waved. My wife used to cover her breasts but doesn't anymore. I've thought about having a new fence installed up to a height of 6+ feet but she has said, "what's the point, they've seen us naked so many times, it doesn't matter anymore." I'll save the 2K for a new fence.
The best & most accurate answer I can give is ... maybe. I do know that one neighbor walked up to the pasture fence about 100+ feet away while I was blowing off the pool deck to ask about borrowing a tool. Though there is underbrush present, he may have seen me but not sure. The pair of gym shorts kept outside was quickly donned & the tool loaned and quick chat had. The neighbors on the other side have caught me out checking the blueberry bushes on a couple of occasions but don't think they noticed. I'm fortunate the sheer size of my yard (5+ acres) makes getting close impossible in most areas. We'll press on as we're doing and enjoy ourselves.
our kids run around naked in the back yard. I do too just when the time is right though. I haven't been caught yet but wouldn't suprise if someone has seen me and just not said anything. I wouldn't care either way.Adam
