Barefooters

A group for those of us who enjoy being barefoot as much as possible. For the hardcore barefooters among us, it's a way of life!

Do any of you go shirtless as well as barefoot in public? It's summer now, so I mostly drive with the windows open and my shirt off. I always put the shirt back on to go into a business. I'm slowly getting over the shoe part of "No shirt, no shoes, no service". Haven't push the envelope on the shirt part.

RE: Shirtless

Yes, but not as much as I go barefoot. I'm shirtless when I'm hiking, running, or hanging out with friends. In public venues, I'm not always shirtless, but sometimes. Convenience stores, gas stations, coffee shops and the like seem generally OK with me being shirtless. Malls, department stores, and restaurants have more of a problem with it, so I tend to don a shirt before going in there. But the feet stay bare regardless. :)

As for justgonaked.fortunately part of our time is spent at a small coastal village where shirtless and barefoot are not considered unusual

CTNude, if you're working up the courage to be barefoot in public, check out the post here called "Businesses that are cool with barefooters." Personally, I've never had a problem at 7-11, Starbucks, or REI. You can do it! Going barefoot in public is easier and much less dramatic than you'd think.

RE: Shirtless

I have no problems going barefoot, but I am only shirtless when home or in nature. Wish I had the guts of being shirtless in the city. Maybe I'll get to meet some guy so that we can challenge each other.

RE: Shirtless

I too never felt like I had the body to go shirtless. I wasn't in great shape, and a former partner teased me about my large nipples. So I kept my shirt on at all times - even at the beach.
After becoming a much more active nudist, I began to accept my body more, and I worked to improve it. It was less about disliking it, than finding pride in it when I felt better about it. I now live in Palm Springs, and temps here really almost require wearing little to nothing. (A big part of why I moved here). I now seldom wear a shirt unless going into a business or office. I wear flimsy cotton shorts, and flip flops. (I'm not a true barefooter, but I like having them exposed).
I'm waiting for the really high temps to hit, and I expect I'll start walking the dog at night completely nude. As it is now, I often walk from the hot tub/pool to my home nude, and it's deserted at night. I'm looking forward to that.
So, shoeless, shirtless, pantsless - as little as possible for me.
And oh, I now enjoy my big nipples a lot - he was wrong!

I used to many years ago, but wearied of all the confrontations about being shirtless. For some reason I've never been challenged too much about my bare feet, but some places have a real issue with shirtlessness. I'll often don a shirt before going in, but the feet stay bare.
