Bathing Outdoors

Summer's here and outdoor showering is the daily norm!
Return to DiscussionsI can usually take outdoor showers most of the year. Even if it's a little cold out, the hot water shower and then drying off to cool temps with the slight breezes we get, invigorate the body!
We have a week of over 90 degree temps forecast for this weekend and into the next week. After our morning walk, we come home and strip in the laundry room and head out to the outdoor shower and take our morning showers. We have that sign above our shower; "Showers $1.00 / $2.00 to watch" . I'm going broke watching my wife shower! :DDDDD
I still dont have an official shower built, dang elusive rountuits! I have been showering under the hose for most of the summer again. Was storming a few days ago and I did the indoor hot shower, wow , miserable hot when I went to work! My routine is to swim, get out and soap up then rinse of with the hose, and back in the pool till I have to leave. So much better!
Today will be a 3 outdoor showers day. I took one early this morning to wake up. A few hours later, my wife and I went for our morning walk and extended our walk by about a mile. It was already upper 70's when we started and 83 when we got home. Another shower was in order after our walk! :DDD
It's been in the upper 80's all day with a constant breeze so we opened all the windows in the house and it's been really pleasant. I will take my third shower of the day, outside, before bed tonight and we'll undoubtedly sleep a window open in the bedroom with the ceiling fan on. Around 3 am, I've been waking up to go to the bathroom. When I return, it's cool enough that I'll pull the sheet over me and sleep for maybe two more hours. It's Summer... Life Is Good! ;DDD
Awesome. I am dying to get a shower setup. I just finished putting up the wall to get the backyard private enough for that. So next step is the shower.

We are experiencing warmer than normal Spring time temps in our valley. Di is joining me outside for showers more frequently. There's only been a week here and there where it was just too cold to be showering outdoors but have been everyday, twice a day, for the past month! Feels good to be able to do that again and have my wife join me! ;D
Oh ... how I miss my outdoor shower in the foothills of Grand Junction looking over the Grand Valley!! Having an outdoor shower in my new home in Ohio involves some major concrete work first, and I just spent a pretty penny on sidewalks and a driveway, so next year at the earliest. I wonder if my simple shower set up is still there next to the volleyball court at GE...
