Return to DiscussionsMust admit, that seems to be a very trues fact, not sure if it's the distance, sometimes an issue I have or what, we have great weather to enjoy being a nudist in for sure,,,,
I'm from the east valley area now and have been spoiled while living in Yuma and being around the magic folks years ago,,,,
Sadly I must agree. I live on the far west side of the valley. I have a nice home and a fenced safe back yard. I have extended invites to many people over the years. I had 3 gents take me up on the invite to visit that first year. All they wanted was to have sex and were not interested in being social. My home is a nudist home and hopefully one of these days there will be a few serious gents that would like to visit.
Well I can tell you this isnt an issue afflicting just the Phoenix area - Im in California - a place where with the exception of two or three beaches here, very few people seem to be true social nudists. While I think to be a nudist you must also be an exhibitionist, a lot of people equate that to erotic activities - not just being nude with others. The few people Ive run across near me seem only to want to meet up for erotic or sexual activities. There are a lot of people out there whose motives concern me and that makes me hesitant to want to meet others in anything less than a very public setting - which can be inhibiting to some. While being a nudist is fun, relaxing and invigorating, it can become complicated. Nevertheless, I for one, will keep trying!
From Asheville, NC
Personally, unless there is something in common to enjoy: watching sports or a movie, playing cards or board games, enjoying a naked dinner, lounging poolside or hot tub soaking, hiking or any shared activity, I find it a chore to hang naked just to hang naked with each other. Similarly,
I don't participate in Skype or other apps, what's the sense? Nudity for me is not an activity but a state of being. I'm naked or I'm not. I drop my pants when arriving home or not. Whatever moves me at the time. I need no peer pressure or external impetus, nor desire such. I'm naked almost all the time, temperature permitting or at least Donald Ducking.
I do enjoy the men's weekends I host because we do share more than a bond of nude brotherhood, having things in common to enjoy in that natural state. I'd love to be invited to hang naked around someone's pool or a game night and eagerly jump right in. I do, however, find it awkward when there's nothing happening but sitting around naked. For God's sake, I flew to California, years back just to meet up for naked bowling.
Hey guys, excuse me for being didactic ~~

Tom I can understand your point of view. However, when you add in social time with BBQ lunch/dinner, hot tub spa, sunning lounges and socializing it can make a difference. In Carolina, depending on which area, your daytime activities might be limited. And of course possible mosquitos and other critters too in the late afternoon/evening. And we don't have to put up with the bugs as much, and nude survivable temps early morn & eve, even in the winter. You are correct in that it does seem like a lot of "nudists" are here just for sexual release. I don't know the solution but it could be better.

From my experience on the TN site most on here are not really nudists. Most on here are scared to meet anyone and never go to resorts or other nudist socializing
Greetings everyone. I also have this same dilemma since I became a member on this site almost 4 years ago. What I found too is that, if I find a member closer to me and started chatting, once the topic of meeting in person, they disappear. I don't know why they are so afraid to meet in person. The people that are far are the one that wants to meet in person and then again, the distance will be the problem. Everyone who posted a comment on the original post are on POINT with all their experiences. Again, I also believed that a lot of the members here are not a real nudist and they are using this site or their sexual gratification or hooking up.
I am new here in Arizona, moved here last year but I am fortunate enough to meet and became friends with a few that I met in the nudist resort which happened to be also a member on TN. I hang out with my naked friends regularly in their home especially during the summertime for some BBQ as they have a pool and a hot tub. Rather than me going to the nudist resort, I just hang out with them once a week for the company and conversation. They became my best buddies and they are real nice people. It is always better to hang out naked with friends. I also have another nudist friend that I met on the resort and he stays at the resort twice a year and we always have naked BBQ in my backyard once a week whenever he is in town over a glass of wine or a can of beer while having a good conversation with what is going on with our everyday life. Recently, I had the privilege to host a TN friend that I met in this site when I first joined almost 4 years ago. He is from California and although we had been talking about meeting in person, finally it did happened 3 weeks ago when he decided to visit AZ. It turned out, it was a very pleasant meeting. We had a blast for the next 2 days exploring the outdoor naked and clothed. So I gained another real nudist friend.
I am still hopeful that I will be able to meet more nudist people in this site that are real nudist and will become good friends. Good luck to everyone.
