I put this group together to find out what beaches around the world are fun to go to in case people are traveling and wondering what a particular beach is like.

TN Meeting Party at Gunnison Beach Saturday July 6th.
Return to DiscussionsI am setting up a TN Meeting Party at Gunnison Beach in Sandy Hook ( Atlantic Highlands) New Jersey on Saturday July 6th from 6 am until whenever we all feel like leaving. It is BYO except as of this summer alcohol and cigarettes have been banned from the beach due to people not cleaning up after themselves. We all saw this coming. It was bound to happen sooner or later. I will be setting up an area in between the first and second lifeguard stand with a sign that says TN Party so we can all sit together. Please let me know in this group chat if you can make it so I know how much room to save. We have done this before and about 15 - 20 TN members show up every year. It is a fun day.
I am planning on being there. I wonder if the ban on drinking and smoking will cause the beach to be less crowded on the weekends. I do not think it will have an effect. People enjoy going there. If there is a will there is a way for people to still have their alcoholic beverages on the beach.

More likely to result in fewer people on the other beaches at Sandy hook, resulting in less traffic.
