For me it surprises me how many men wear shirt, shorts and underwear to a nude beach.
Even stranger is when someone wears a swimsuit under their clothes and takes it off almost immediately.
I generally only wear gym shorts and flip-flops.
Why wear more than necessary when it is all going to come off?
the nude beach i attend the most has crappy parking so sometimes i have to drive back about a mile to park in a almost empty parking lot, anyways driving to beach i wear a t shirt , shorts and a minimal bikini underneath after parking i strip down to my bikini grab a towel and lightweight cooler and head toward the sand. sometimes i like to walk beach looking for shells , sand dollars and if i go north your required to wear something so i slip on the bikini which is easy to remove.

I sometimes wear a brief swimsuit instead of gym shorts to the beach also. Used to do it more, but since I stopped wearing underwear, brief swimsuits feel so confining.
Typically I wear as little as possible on the way. However, sometimes the beach is not far from public access and until a "line in the sand" is crossed it is not legal to be nude.
Once I went to a nude beach several hours away. After leaving I decided to make the drive home nude. It was necessary to wear something on the walk to my car and it seems like that was gym shorts. But then even that came off and I was soon nude for the drive.
My standard "going to the beach" outfit is just nylon running shorts. I only wear a shirt if I intend to stop n shop anywhere on the way. Once I arrive at beach parking, I wrap a pareo around me and take the shorts off for the walk down the sand. I really don't like stripping on the beach itself or carrying a lot of stuff...

It always feels so silly having to cover up just to get from the car to the beach but I do it so as not to give anyone an excuse to complain to authorities who it seems are always looking for an excuse to close down CO beaches.

The parking for the nude beach I visit is across the main park access road from the beach, so I can understand why some covering is required.
I have occasionally seen someone arrive or leave in just a towel.
I drive there naked. Then it depends on the beach. Some are all CO and are served by a small dedicated car park (parking lot). There I just get out of the car and walk onto the beach naked. Most beaches have the nude section at the far end, accessed through the textile beach. For a few I have to park in a car park some distance from the beach. In those cases I wear a flimsy wrap (a wrap-round skirt) and sandals.
While we dont have a 'nude' beach. We do have areas we likeminded people will frequent to sun our buns. It is technically a public beach, but is far away from main beach snd we can wear little or nothing while being careful. Anyway to answer the question, i will wear i towel or usually i wear a loose mesh shorts with wide mesh. See thru, but it is clothing. Btw, ive had many compliments on my shorts.
Kind of spoils the day when you have to put shirts on to get from the lot to the beach. So suffer, we must. At least it is only a few minutes of the day. Not as bad when going to a resort.
Why would any male have to put on a shirt to go from the parking lot to the beach?
