Best beaches for being nude, in England?
Return to DiscussionsSo, where are the best beaches for being nude in England. It would be interesting to know exactly where they are, how easy they are to get to (by public transport too) and what, if any, amenities there are at the beach.
Will they mind us travelling naked on the bus to the beach?

Does anyone know of any nice beaches in north England. North west if possible but notheast will do. Going to expand my experiences this summer.... possibly....
Holkham in Norfolk, only by car. Studland in Dorset. There is a bus from Bournemouth across the ferry on Poole Harbour. Plenty of parking if you go by car. But getting across the ferry can take ages (queuing, the ferry takes about 10 minutes when you finally get on it).
Both stunningly beautiful beaches, by far the prettiest.
The two I use on a regular basis are Eastney in Portsmouth and Shoreham near Brighton, mainly due to ease of access. The Shoreham one is good because you can literally park and step onto the nudist beach or walk a little further down behind a gigantic wall for a bit of privacy from the road plus can be a good windbreak too, there is no shade so taking an sunshade or something is advisable. And if you get caught short, there is a little cafe with car park and public toilets 1/2 mile down the road.
Eastney is also not far from a free car park and a little supermarket just nearby as you turn off the main road to the car park. I like Eastney because you have the view of the Isle of White across the bay and you get the odd Naval ship sailing past amongst all the other ships and boats.
Both beaches are pebbled, but at low tide Shoreham has a lot of sand whereas at high tide Eastney gets deep very quick and not advisable to leave the kids alone by the waters edge.
I used to go to Eastney a lot when I had work on Isle of Wight - it was great being able to get onto the beach so easily.I always wish there was a beach on the Somerest coast where nudity was accepted as it's a great view [across the severn, not the nudity - well maybe that as well]
For me Studland must be the best beach in the UK. Easy to get to by car and public transport from Bournemouth, Poole and Swanage.
Another great beach but much smaller is Yarverland near Sandown on the Isle Of Wight.
Studland Beach in Dorset is probably one of the busiest beaches and is certainly a beautiful sandy beach.Slapton Sands in Devon is also highly recommended, we've had some nice days there. In the past Perranporth Beach in Cornwall was also very well used, I know it was closed at one point but I believe it has now re-opened as a naturist beach.
This sounds like my list except not been to Perranporth beach
