It's not weird, it's normal to feel some excitement at doing a new thing, especially if it's something society considers weird. Treat it as a normal occurrence, and as a previous poster said, make sure your wife is comfortable. After the first 15 minutes or so it will start to feel like just another day at the beach. By the time you're ready to leave you'll regret having to get dressed.
