Today I spent a hour in the woods with nothing on my feet and nothing on my skin. I was completely exposed. Felt way better to not wear footwear. What do you think?

Yes I wear socks and athletic shoes. My feet bottoms are too tender to go barefoot outside.
Agree with you there, when I was visiting relis in Perth I went for a nude walk in the Armadale hills barefoot and something bit my toe, I was convinced it could be a redback spider was worried but fortunately ok, never again barefoot!
Gotta agree with the dude above me.Prefer to go barefoot when out and about, but will put on the appropriate footwear when needed, and if required. Feeling of being barefoot and nude is one of the best, especially when out on the land.
Well the Boots on the Ground have it. From the entries so far I counted just 11 who always go barefoot, 18 who wear footwear when the terrain requires it and 49 who wear footwear regardless because of the potential dangers of going barefoot. Most would like to go barefoot to be completely naked but practical reality overrides that aspiration. Well, on a long walk, the health of our feet is vital.
