Return to DiscussionsIt's one of the biggest misconceptions of this lifestyle. How many people have any of us veteran nudists talked to and the first thing they say is ... "if I looked better naked, if I lost a bunch of weight, if I had a younger looking body ..." it's a huge misconception that you have to look a certain way to be a nudist. Nudists come in all shapes, sizes and colors and that's what's great about it. I just wish that some nudists practiced what they preached and were more accepting of ALL people that are nudists and not just those that "they" feel fit into their idea of what a nudist is or should be. ;-)
Nudism and being a nudist isn't about being the most attractive (who gets to decide what "attractive" is anyway?). It is about being comfortable in your skin and out of your clothes. I'm sure I speak for others when I saw all are welcome.
I agree 100%, I am sure most everyone wishes he/she had this or that, but as a nudist I accept what I look like, how I am shaped etc. And for the textile world if that isn't their "conception" of what a person should look like then they can kiss my bare A** :)
Each person is unique and special in his/her own way and for that I am so appreciative. This makes all beautiful to me, after all beauty is more than skin deep. Get to know someone before you decide if he/she is beautiful
Not everyone is going to look like a cover model, and most of us never will, however, I do think that it is healthy to take care of the bodies we do have with good nutrition and a little exercise. Our bodies really appreciate the consideration when we take care of ourselves. Being our healthy best is good enough, and also, many people become so much more attractive when given the opportunity to share their inner beauty with others.
haii....Nudism is NOT about seeing or being seen. It's about de-stressing, relaxing, and returning to innocence. It's about accepting yourself and others for who you are, how you act, and what you say, rather than what you look like, wear, or own. It's simply the feel-good feeling of the air, water on you without the constriction of clothing.Check
There is much wisdom in what is being discussed in this thread. Ands it is certainly taking the high moral ground. I just have problems when someone thinks they can speak for others. Because my experience on this site is that many, perhaps most, see it as a strictly sexual experience and ate quite obsessed with the attractiveness or tensions and others. Or they get a kick out of flaunting society's rules.
