BooB Tube Maniacs 70's 80's T.V.

Whatever happened to the practice of rolling out all the new shows in the fall like they did in the 70's and early 80's? It seemed like...back to school for a few weeks and then new sitcoms for the rest of September. Miss that about TV.

There was a show that was on the air from 1967-1973, just as SNL gave new talent their show biz break, so did this show. Anyone remember it? Can you name any of the stars that came out of it? (Clue: It aired on NBC and had a short revival in 1977.)
