Why women shouldn't wear a bra
Return to DiscussionsI hear you. I have been talking to my wife about it for years. Although around the house she rarely will have a bra on the second she goes out the door she has to have one on. I think that is more of norm she developed growing up.
Got my wife some non-padded bralettes. More of a sports bra style. They are thin breathable material. They help her feel confident but provide the bare minimum support. They are quick in and off and have helped her to become more confident not so much of a security blanket. She has even resorted to removing all the padding from her swimsuits. At first she was worried about her nipples showing but I think she is becoming more confident that its natural and nipples are ok and beautiful.
Adam
Adam,
well done on supporting your wife this way (no pun intended). I reckon many women are self conscious about the nipples showing and people (mostly men) staring. It's natural for both to occur, nipples will be obvious during cold weather or if the woman is aroused.
From my experience with my late wife (big boobs & nipples) she was wary about them being on show and people talking to them & not her face. My partner now (small boobs but very erect nipples) does not try to draw attention to her chest also. As men we should encourage our partners not to be bothered about this but it is easier said than done. I've purchased some of the light weight bralette types for my partner, they actually look good and I think quite sexy which I tell her often. She wanted to get a boob job when we first met, but I think I have talked her out of that.
As partners I think we just should encourage women to be comfortable in their body, ignore lots of the media rubbish about bodies that try to sell some product or another. Eat well, exercise well, look after the body & mind and each other. It's not easy though.
