Braless Nudists
This is a group for all nudists who support being braless. Whether you are personally braless, support those who are braless, or are interested in the growing braless trend, this group is for you. This is for anyone supporting bralessness to discuss, share, and learn about the health benefits, issues, and trending fashions related to being braless in public. Also just as a note, whilst I'm...
Braless is normal .
Return to DiscussionsIt would appear so, from what my wife and I saw today at Disneyland.
Granted, there were lots of people at the park today. It was crowded for a Thursday but anyway ... my wife is the one that actually mentioned it to me after we'd been at the park about an hour or so. She asked ... "are they giving away free admission if you're not wearing a bra!!?" Of course, then I began to pay closer attention and she was right.
It was a nice day... 78 degrees, sunny and a slight breeze. The age group seemed to be somewhere between 17 and 30 but there were some middle aged women that were braless and most of these women seemed quite comfortable with it. We saw a few groups of young women, 17 - 19, 4 or 5 girls in the group and all but one or all of them were braless. It puzzled us that some of these girls that seemed so young were as comfortable being this way and if they left their home that way and what their parents thought about it ... if the parents even knew. It truly wasn't as though we were looking for them but there were so many dressed like this that it wasn't hard to see as much as we did with very little effort.
Another thing we began to look at was ethnicity. The vast majority of these braless women were white. We sat and had our popcorn and a drink and I continued telling my wife about the discussions on TN and particularly in this group. Surprisingly, we saw some young Asian woman and even some middle eastern women that were braless. We began to try and figure out why so many white women were willing to go braless and were comfortable with it. Culture, religious upbringing, fashion trend, peer inclusion/acceptance ...? Not sure but we had fun with the subject and people watching ... it really wasn't all boob watching! :DDD
I brought this up to my wife a week or so when we were out at the mall , my wife said it had to do with the style tops comming out now with a lot not having much of a back and needed a special bra to wear other wise you see the bra and most styles were made for woman small busted so alot of woman are braless more
Hello all, from another braless lady , from uk .
And hello to you, englishlady. Its great to have a woman with your attitude with us. You have some lovely photos.
I, too, am braless most of the time. I work from home, so there is no bra ... or anything else for that matter on me. Going out anywhere is mostly braless, too depending on the situation. For the most part I just go out with my breasts free under my clothes, but at times I do like to show off some cleavage and wear a push up bra.
Again, depends on the situation. Being braless most of my life has strengthened my breasts and made them quite firm and full. I love the look and feel of the as does hubby. Maybe this is a bit sexual, but I do enjoy feeling them swing a little when I walk around. If people feel the need to look then so be it. As a nudist I'm not ashamed of my body.

I'm glad you brought this up, CalCoast ...
For a nudist, you not only have the desire for freedom but you also have a playful attitude about being braless as well. I/we couldn't help but wonder if that sexual, playful attitude was also a reason so many women of a variety of ages were braless yesterday.
One of the things that puzzled us was that if someone looked their way and noticed their bralessness (not sure that's a word), they became self conscious and either put their hands or arms across their chest or covered themselves with the unbuttoned shirt or sweater they were wearing. If they didn't want to be looked at or admired ... why wear those types of tops and go without a bra? Until more women go braless and topless, society as a whole will not see that as common or normal. It'll take some getting use to but from what we saw yesterday ... the bra making companies should be worried! :DDD

Well, I can only speak for myself, but I stand up straight, walk tall and never mind anyone looking my way. I am proud of my body, my breasts and any other part. I have gotten a few stares at the grocery store, but that's just too bad. If my nipples show through and I'm bouncing then get a good look ... LOL!
I also, at times, like to color a few streaks in my hair for variety. I get stares and sour looks from some of the prim and proper, old fogey women about that too. They don't like my breasts and nipples showing too much or my hair colors, so tough. If I can't please 'em then I'll do my own thing. WITH my own things ... hahaha.
Along with the braless tops, we also noticed the amount of really short shorts these women were wearing, the younger women and older ones as well. I get the frayed and fringe shorts look but it seems the shorter, the better. We saw almost as much butt yesterday as you would at a beach of thong wearers. Along with the frequent covering of braless boobs, we noticed young women frequently tugging on the hem of their shorts as if pulling them down the 1/4 inch they could possibly go, would make a difference. If you're so worried about someone looking at your butt and your braless boobs, why dress like that if it makes you feel uncomfortable?
We talked about how we would have liked to sit down with them and talked with them about their feelings and attitudes about the way they were dressed and how they felt about simple, non sexual nudity. Our assumptions were that most would think totally nudity was wrong, crazy, weird, gross, only for sex and bathing ... but yet to be close to nude was fine and nothing wrong with that. After a few hours of conversation on this topic, we kicked it to the curb and enjoyed the rest of our day and went on to more important topics to discuss.
I like your attitude CalCoast with regards to being comfortable with your mode of dress and if others don't like it, they can avert their eyes. We see many of the women from our club at the local market that is actually walking distance. Many of the women, during the summer, will go to the market and wear only a sarong or long dress. There's always a lot of swaying going on, including my wife! :DDD I often wonder what others think when they see all these minimally covered, braless women shopping at the market and must wonder ... where did they come from!? :DD
I think it's always worth reminding many that even us hardcore nudists enjoy sex, feeling sexual and sexy. Nudism and being a nudist builds confidence in both men and women and it's sure benefitted my wife with her shyness and self esteem and body image issues. Being confident and comfortable and feeling sexy when nude or when minimally covered, braless, going commando, both men and women, is something many of us feel comfortable with and aren't ashamed to admit it but it's usually not for exhibition purposes, it's a comfortableness with showing others that what we do and how we live is wholesome and healthy even if a little sensual, sexual or sexy.
