Return to DiscussionsIn hindsight, I think that I had a bromance with my high school buddy. On half-days, we'd hang out naked at his house by his pool. It was really fun and freeing. I loved the feeling of the intimacy without the sex.
I only had two relationships that came close to a bromance.
The first one wanted to have sex and the only reason it stayed a bromance is because he respected that I didn't want to have sex. So he was able to just cuddle and be okay but it didn't turn into a relationship because we wanted different things.
The second one did become a relationship that lasted for months. But the relationship was strained and I don't even know why. He just wasn't willing to allow that much closeness between us.

When I was a freshman in college, I attended Valdosta State College in South Georgia, USA in the early 1980s The freshman dorm was not air conditioned.
