I keep having arguments with bushes and...

...and losing! You wouldn't believe the scratches on my arms and legs. That's ok, though, I win in the end. Cut those bastards all the way back! Gator1

I've now harvested...

two messes of green beans, several tasty bell peppers, and just about to cut the first head of broccoli from the fall garden.

Now that it's cooling off...

Things are growing again. I have onions up, bell pepper and jalapenos making fruit again, brocoli making heads, and green beens producing. I'd love for it to stay like this for a while!

Finished planting (nude, of course) my small...

I put in Early Girl tomatos, broccoli, brussels sprouts, beans, and some yellow squash. I still have about 7 healthy bell pepper plants from the spring garden that survived the heat, and they're just about to start making fruit again, I think....

Who still has any vegetable plants of any...

The heat and drought have wreaked havoc on my veggie garden. The only thing that has survived are my various pepper plants, and they won't start producing again until it cools off some.

I picked the biggest green caterpillar...

Went out very early this morning and found a pepper plant missing most of it's leaves, and the pretty, good-zed pepper looking like it had been shave with a paring knife. I was mystified, and had to look for a long while to find this solid light...

Getting a great crop of tomatoes, peppers...

but only got one mess of sweet peas before the plants just up and died. Must be too hot for them here in SE Texas.
