The heat and drought have wreaked havoc on my veggie garden. The only thing that has survived are my various pepper plants, and they won't start producing again until it cools off some.
Went out very early this morning and found a pepper plant missing most of it's leaves, and the pretty, good-zed pepper looking like it had been shave with a paring knife. I was mystified, and had to look for a long while to find this solid light...
but only got one mess of sweet peas before the plants just up and died. Must be too hot for them here in SE Texas.
Has any one tried to grow those upside down tomatos? We are trying, and if anybody has any good advice...please share. We will make periodic updates as our plants grow.
I have 2 raised beds and the ants love them. Anybody know of a food-safe way to eradicate them? I usually pour a teakettle of boiling water on them, but it isn't long before they are back.
