Return to DiscussionsWas up north in Canada , at a Provincial Park in Ontario , at a campground that had just opened for the summer , June of 1990 , a couple days before my girlfriend and I visited . In Lake Superior Provincial Park . Went there , set up camp with tent and Coleman gas stove . Quickly realized no one was coming , as this campground was at the end of a long gravel road , with only pit toilets . Got naked , and stayed naked for a long time , walking around and doing everything you would do at a campground , except that I was naked . Very fun and risqu . Miss that opportunity . Now over 25 years later , I still remember that , and love the memory .
Camping nude is the only way to camp. Living in Arizona we have so much federal land that allows dispersed (no specific sites) where you can camp in the middle of nowhere. When we arrive on Friday to set up, my son is the first to shed his clothes before we even get camp set. The entire weekend is spent nude from cooking, sleeping, swimming, hiking or just hanging by the fire. The lakes have great coves that have shallow water that boats can't navigate and jet skis don't like. We kayak and swim in them nude. Sunday's we make a huge breakfast break down camp and put on shorts just before we head home. The season starts in March for low desert camping and we can't wait. My son asked daily "dad when are we going to camp again?"! The best part is there are no dirty smelly clothes to wash when we get home!
I'd love to hear details on the places you've found for camping - we've been looking ourselves and so far anywhere we can get the motorhome into is too populated with textile campers.

And that IS the inherent problem with motorhomes. If you can drive somewhere, so can everyone else, so true seclusion is problematic with a motorhome.
The only place I've camped in the nude was at Cypress Cove where everyone is nude. The minute I got there I undressed before setting up camp and stayed that way the whole time I was there. Can't wait to do it again. As far as hiking naked I have done it a couple of times in N.C. near our cabin. Plant to do more of that this summer when we go up there.
My first time was cypress cove also. We had a great time. not many places to hike nude here but I spend as much time naked on the water as possible.
