Return to DiscussionsThis area of North Carolina has some of the most pristine and wonderful natural surroundings in America, it's only fitting to bare down and enjoy the scenery. 6000 foot elevations, some of the highest peaks on the east coast and vistas to knock the proverbial socks off your already nude self. These mountains are balds, meaning the views go for miles and the camp downs are wonderful nuggets of streamside beauty or ridgeline awe.

But this isn't a naturist area, per se, right? In other words, you can be nude because you're backpacking to an isolated spot? Just checking, as I may be in the area next week.
