Campers In The Nude
Anyone who goes camping in the nude. Be it a tent, trailer. or bus -- just like camping.
First timers, reluctant partners and home only nudists
Return to DiscussionsFor those of you who:
- would like to try naturism for the first time
- have partners that are a little reluctant to try naturism
- know how liberating it is to be naked at home but are worried about their first experience of being naked around strangers
Firstly, clothing optional vs compulsory nudity. For those who are not clear what clothing optional means ... well exactly what it says ... the wearing of clothes is optional ... you choose ... no pressure. Normally, at clothing optional destinations, you are free to be naked 24 x 7 but are asked not take exception to those who might choose to be clothed. Similarly, if you choose to be clothed then you should not make those around you who choose to be naked feel uncomfortable. Everyone has thier own comfort level about being naked. Lets face it - clothes can be a great idea when it's chilly. A clothing optional resort allows you to choose.
Secondly, it can be really inconvenient to have to cover up when camping. Getting dressed in the confines of a tent is a pain especially in a small one. Getting up to use the toilet during the night becomes a mission as does trying to stay "covered up" whilst using the public washrooms or showers. This is when a relaxed attitude to nudity really starts to pay off.
Thirdly, space for luggage can be limited when camping. A clothing optional holiday means less clothes and less luggage (and less laundry when you get home too :-) .
Finally, many first timers feel a little awkward being naked in a conventional nudist resort. Many say, it doesn't feel right. The big plus with camping is that you are in a natural setting, close to nature and somehow being naked FEELS natural.
So ... take the plunge ... google "clothing optional camping" or visit the Camp Full Monte website for more info on clothing optional camping.
