Return to DiscussionsHi I'm beginning to start planning my summer camping trip. I have a nudist friend that is coming with me. I'm trying to find a secluded spot where we can run around naked and have fun without too many people coming around with their textile morality.
I'm just asking if anyone knows any secluded spots by a lake that not too many people visit. If you know of any good secluded places let me know. Or if you want to come and make it a party let me know also. Nude hugs.
When I lived up near the ADK park, I used to hike (naked) to Bear Lake out near Forestport. The first part of the trail (about a mile) is a Jeep trail that gets some traffic, but once you cut off of that to Bear Lake, there's a lot less traffic. The last 1.5 miles is mostly uphill, but it's still an easy hike. Once you get to the lake, there are 2 great camping spots. The first is at the end of the trail. There's a really nice sandy beach into the lake (for a short distance, then it becomes muck so wear water shoes). I've camped at that site naked several times and never had an issue. I discovered the second site once when there happened to be someone at the first. You can continue on past the first site around past the inlet / outlet and there's another site in a more wooded area. The trees provide a lot of cover, so you can be naked there even if there are others at the first site.
There are some pull-in camping spots on North Lake near Forestport, NY that you may be able to camp naked at if you time things right. Some sites are more private than others. The campsites are on a first come basis and are on the N Lake Road Extension. The ones further down near where the road becomes a private road are the most isolated. The campsites are almost always in use during summer weekends but you may be able to be naked if you camp out during the week and towards the beginning / end of the season. Unfortunately, that means it's usually not great naked weather in Upstate NY...but you never know. The weather may cooperate sometime!
