anyone have stabilizers for their canoe, i do alot of fishing and thinking of making a set as they are pretty expensive to buy. just curious if they are worth it , i see some with them standing up in canoe something i doubt i'd attempt in mine.

RE: stabilizers on canoes

finally finished and installed mine (need to take a picture) i used 2 wood post hole handles from home depot $8. a piece, the crab pot floats and some pvc maybe $40. and 2 fishing rod holders -plastic and some giant safety looking pins from the sporting good store on sale maybe $16. so maybe $72. all together. now i'm thinking of a kinda u shape post for when i'm standing to give some support and balance , yeah i'll probably fall off the side anyways but it sure beats the internet prices.
