I regret getting rid of my sit in yak and getting a sit on, sit on cut down the opportunity for more nude paddling where the only benefit from the sit on was easy on and off . I may switch back but I also have a canoe which I enjoy most .

I regret getting rid of my sit in yak and getting a sit on, -snip- I may switch back.

Just get one of each so you can use whichever when the mood strikes. That's the solution I finally settled on years ago. It has the added benefit of paddling with a friend or two or three that don't have their own boats. But I agree, I use the canoe far more than either kayak even though the sit on is smaller, lighter, easier to transport and launch. The sit in is about the same length, and weight, as the canoe (15' & 60lbs). But I can paddle, row, or power (trolling motor) the canoe either solo or tandem. So that's what I use most. To me, the only downside for owning all three is storage space. But until I need the space for something else, I'm hangin' on to my options.

well i'm 70 yoa and although I miss the sit in it's not practical anymore and same with the kayak. I love my canoe I can paddle it or power it with my trolling motor and a few spots I can get nude and float around, I want to get a inflatable mattress so I can lay down and sunbathe .
