Kayak Adventure
Return to DiscussionsPlan to head to the gulf to day. Will do some nude paddling to a small deserted island. Will be able to spend the day naked. Hope everyone will get a chance to be nude sometime today.

Sounds like a great time!

It was a perfect day to be out on the water and naked. I got in plenty of nude paddling and spent the day on a deserted island. The only time I put my trunks on was when a fisherman pulled up to the beach and went for a walk to stretch his legs. Posting a photo in the gallery.

I think I would have just either continued as before, sat down so as to not be as obvious, or casually gone into the water, depending on the vibes.

great picture rexdogg , i agree with campingbare if i'm near water and someone approaches i'll wade in and even if shallow i will sit on my knees to keep from having to coverup. i did this a few times while on the chattahoochee river and even in summer brr it was cold but it was better than having to coverup.

What part of the Gulf [of Mexico, I presume] do you kayak at? {You DON'T need to give me a lat/long, just curious what general area.}
I've done mostly canoeing, very little kayaking, and none of it in the Gulf. I live in North Carolina now, but I'm originally from St. Pete....

AE-53, good to see u here on this site too... later we can have a thread about kites that kayakers use to go downwind. i haven't tried that yet butt a kite like that wood be so versatile. i am currently using my Otter kayak to sneak into the area where i hunt the whitetail deer with my crossbow.
Thanks.
Actually, with a multi-line kite I *think* you could 'tack' upwind, just as kiteboarders do it. You would just need to add {whatever those things are called on sailboats that prevent sideways movement}.

They are called keels (or dagger boards on smaller boats where they are removable). On canoe sailing rigs they are called leeboards
