What is the longest you have owned a car?
Return to Discussions2006 Honda Element Ive owned since 2008 and 1953 Ford Customline which I bought in 1997 and used every summer
Nobody ever sells Honda Elements. When I worked as a service advisor at the Honda dealership, people would ask me why they quit making them. I told them that people that own them love them and keep them forever vs replacing them every few years. The sales gradually declined to the point that it was not worth it to update the chassis for newer crash requirements
I have the same problem with VW Eos. It is a convertible with a metal roof.
I bought a 2008 in 2001 and kept it over 9 years.
They stopped making them in 2016.
In early 2021, I bought a low mileage 2014, reducing age by 6 yeas and mileage by 85 k. Unfortunately, that will be the last one.
Hydraulic suspension and disc brakes. Air-cooled flat 4.
that must be a Citron GS (or GSA), because that's the only Citron meeting the description.
longest i have owned a car is a 1986 Saab 9000 CC 2.0i. i found it in Belgium and bought it for 125 Euro/175-ish dollar. it had 138.000km on the odo. i have had it since 2009, so almost 15 years. but it's been sitting on my driveway for about 5 years now. it needs some major TLC to get her back on the road.
