Yes, there are many around us. And many whom I know are very good catholics, very devoted catholics. They don't carry a sign saying they are gay, and it doesn't matter if they are gay or not as long as they are nice and courteous, and they are respectful, and go to confession like the rest of us, do penance and go to communion. Being gay is not a mortal sin (I believe). I also know peoplewho pretends to be saints and they are awful people. Just don't label people and accept everybody as they are. Be more tolerant and forgiving of people who are different and think different from you.
