The life of a roofer has to be filled with interesting encounters. Day after day up on roof after roof, with the view into neighboring yards. Not long ago I was once again caught by roofers working on one of the houses across the alley from mine. I was in my normal naked morning routine, a bit groggy as I walked out to my back patio naked as a jay bird. Phone in one hand, coffee in the other, I slowly wandered over to my bistro table in the shade of a tree. Although I heard some noises, it didnt really catch my attention until I sat down and stretched my legs out to reach the morning sun. It was then that I spied some movement out of the corner of my eye. Sure enough, there were 3 roofers up on the neighbors rooftop, 2 facing my way and 1 with his back to me. I simply raised my coffe cup in their direction as a morning greeting, and went on to enjoy my morning. This wasnt the first time, and Im sure it wont be the last. Ive been caught by a home inspector, checking that same neighbors roof, as well as a roofing crew on the house next door, a few years ago.
