Return to DiscussionsGoing to be doing some fly fishing around creed in a few weeks. Usually just hit the area around the Conejos, so this is new territory for me. Any places to hike or fish that are off the beaten path enough to go nude? Thanks!

You can always drive a little ways up the San Luis Valley and hit Valley View Hot Springs. There is hiking on their 2000 acres, and I have hiked the National Forest trails around there without too many issues on the weekdays. I have been to Creede twice this year but have not had the chance to explore much. There must be some opportunities for some naked hiking. It is really dry there this year. The monsoon rains have probably helped, but you might find a lot of the good fishing streams with really low water.
