Return to DiscussionsYesterday I wanted to put up my laundry on my balcony and because it's warm and I like to be naked I was there naked when all of a sudden my neighbour stept up to his balcony and appeared right next to me. He looked and than said 'didnt see anything' smiled and turned around. I didnt jnow if he mind. Should I say sorry or just keep going on the balcony naked so he might become comfortable with me being Naked?
I wouldn't apologise, because that starts the conversation off saying that you have done something wrong - putting you on the back foot.
I would certainly mention the incident, and just ask if they were okay with it. He may just have been embarrassed because he didn't expect it, or maybe was embarrassed on your behalf. Make sure he sees that you think it normal and nothing to worry about.

I don't think you have to apologise. You haven't done anything wrong and you did nothing to make someone uncomfortable on purpose.
You could however have a conversation with your neighbour about it. Just to find out what he thinks about it. If he doesn't mind and you don't care if he sees you naked it will give you a lot more freedom.
It's good that everyone agreed, an apology was not necessary, a simple explanation is more than enough, if at all.
