Highrise nudity
Return to DiscussionsIts easy and relatively safe to be naked in a high rise hotel room. Maybe people can see you but there is a fair bit of anonymity as it would be difficult to track down who you are. I agree, great feeling to be nude in your room and not care who can see you.
Great experience! For several years I traveled pretty extensively for work. Most major hotels do now have ground floor rooms, but it didn't matter if I was on the 2nd floor or 20th floor, I always kept the curtains open during my stays. Several times through the years I would see, and be seen by, someone in an adjoining building, usually a hotel but several times office buildings. All positive experiences and will continue in a limited, retired role.

But there was an incident a few years ago where someone was seen nude in a hotel room on an upper floor and somehow he was identified and charged with indecent exposure!

Luckily they would have no chance of making that stick in the UK.

The UK, and Spain, France and Germany all sound more nude tolerant than the US
The UK, and Spain, France and Germany all sound more nude tolerant than the USI must confess that I find it ironical that this should be said of the "Land of the Free."
Even more ironic is that song that this phrase comes from has a long buried third verse opposing the freeing of slaves by British soldiers!
Should be possible here in Melbourne, but I've never had the chance to try it anyway. The law only refers to being visible from a public place. If the building opposite is private, it's no different to a back yard with an overlooking neighbour. Up to discretion...
