Return to DiscussionsHad short conversations with two daring nudists in the parking lot a Gunnison today,
One was heading from the beach wearing only a thong.
He said that he normally only wears a thong when walking from the car to the beach and often removes it as soon as he is across the road and past the rest rooms.
Another was headed to the beach wearing only a very short wrap, He says he wants to be as comfortable as possible without causing trouble.
Quite a contrast to the majority who wear shirts and shorts with a swimsuit or underwear underneath for the trek.
I generally wear a swim brief when I am in sight of the road and nothing past that point.

I have visited most Canary Islands over the last 25 years and have found all of them to be reasonably nude-tolerant but not in built-up areas away from the beach.
However, at quiet times nobody is bothered provided you use appropriate discretion.

The person who posted the most about living in a nude friendly environment lived in a relatively rural area not far from the ocean.
Like Jon, i have also visited all of the Canaries and found them to be very nude friendly, many Spanish families also visit the naturist beaches, as long as you are sensible especially near the coast it is acceptable to be naked, i have also visited the Balearic islands and parts of southern Spain and found it to be similar
