I travel often to clothing optional resorts - where frequently few are nude. I used to be self conscious about being nude in this situation, but now I revel in it. I get nude the moment I can, and stay nude the entire time I'm there. If there's a cocktail hour, I'll attend that nude. It's fun to be the only one naked, and watch peoples reactions (and eyes) while you're talking to them!
one of my earliest nude experiences was in junior high school i had finished showering and walked out to get a towel from the towel room near the back of the locker room when i looked toward the back door and the coach was standing there talking to the girls pe coach and she was watching me and every other nude 12 year old leave the shower room to come get a towel. i kept walking got my towel and went and dried off and dressed several of us commented about it but it was the 60's and unlike today you never complained to adults about anything. she did this a few other times during the school year and i often wondered if the male coach got to peek in the girls locker room.
My roommates sister is visiting for two weeks, she had heard I went nude at home and in hot tub. She is a bit shy/self concious about her body. I had told her to relax and make herself to home, she told me to do the same. This afternoon after being nude in hot tub, I dried off and went to watch tv bare with her in the room. Later she helped hang some pictures after painting the dining room. Stayed bare all afternoon and she didn't seem upset by it
I guess this would count ... although, I think it's not really what the original poster was looking for ... I may be wrong! :D While I was working I had 4 guys on my crew each 24 hr shift. Most times it was my regular crew but that really doesn't matter. Everyone in the station new I was a nudist, hell ... most of the guys on my dept knew I was a nudist. At any rate, when upstairs in the non public area of the station, I was usually naked. By the time I got up there, in the later evening hours, it was time to sit, relax, watch some TV, get on my laptop and ... be naked. Many a time the guys would need to ask me something and they'd knock on my door. I'd respond with ... "I'm naked, enter at your own risk!" After the first few times, I stopped telling them and they stopped acting shocked. That was the way I lived at the station, as well as home, and they accepted it. Got a few guys to start sleeping naked and not slipping on shorts before putting on their "turnouts" (bunkers) ... but didn't really convert anyone to nudism. Had a couple of their wives say it would be fun to go to the nude beach with us but they never followed through. At any rate ... I was often nude in front of clothed and non nudists ... at work for quite a long time. ; )
I frequented a particular nudist beach on my various visits to Portugal. Then I would walk naked about a mileto the next nude beach. One warm December day I did just that. At that time of year there are not many tourists. As I arrived at the second beach I realised it was full of Portuguese, all in jumpers and anoraks against (what they thought of as) the winter cold. I was the only nude on a crowded beach. I stayed and enjoyed the winter sun before walking off naked.
More recently I surprised my (fully clothed) sister by stripping off in front of her to sunbathe. She was intrigued. On the fourth day it rained but she said that shouldn't stop me. So I stripped and asked her to take some photos.
I also meet a few clothed hikers on my many naked hikes.
As a rule, because I want to be a responsible nudist and not bring negative experiences to our lifestyle that would cause someone outside the lifestyle to view it as perverse or undesirable, I do not go nude in front of people who are textiles. If I have an expectation of privacy on my 35 acres and have the right to be nude, and someone comes on to my property and sees me nude, that is on them, and that had happened quite a few times. However, the reverse is true. If people are on a beach that is textile, and they have an expectation of privacy in that they went there so they will not see nnude people, then I am infringing on their rights by being nude where they do not want to see nudity, and I am violating their right to privacy. So I do not go nude and expose myself to people who have that expectation.
That being said, I have been nude in front of my step aunt who knows I am a nudist and came up to my house to do laundry and hang out. She is seven years older than me, and is comfortable with the idea of me being nude, so I remained nude the entire time she visits. She came to realize that I see nudity as non-sexual, so she has answered her door nude (I caught her about to jump into the shower), and when we went to Vegas and shared a hotel room, she would be nude in front of me before and after her shower, and I went into the bathroom to prepare for dinner while she was still showering, and it was not a big deal. She will not go to the nude hot springs with me, but that is fine. She will not ever convert to the lifestyle, but I think she is simply more comfortable with the idea of nudity now, than she was before.
I also had invested in real estate with my best friend, and we lived in the house as we fixed it up, and he saw me nude all the time during daily life, and while I worked to fix the place up. Eventually, he went to Glen Eden with me and joined us nude as we played volleyball and in the pool/jaccuzi, but he stated that he LIKES wearing clothes, and prefers that to being nude.
Other times, people have driven on to my property and seen me nude, but that is on them, since they invaded my privacy.
I would encourage everyone to be polite and at least ask someone if they mind if you are nude before violating their rights and expectations in a textile area. Let's show the world that we are good people, and not pervs.
