Return to DiscussionsWas out this morning about 4:00 am. Walked to the curb and a car up the street stopped (there's a stop sign posted). I was putting out the trash collection. I am certain the driver saw me. I walked back the way I'm came & into my garage. Nothing occurred. Could be because I open carry a pistol.
I second that question, what's with all the guns? Walking nude with a gun seems to me to be asking for trouble. I hope you don't think you are a nude cowboy. And if you meet a police officer nude with a gun you'll get what you deserve, the officer will shoot first and ask questions later. At least that's how it seems from all thenews coming out of America lately.
As for garbage take out, I do that every Monday as that's our rural garbage collection day. Until winter sets in, then I have to wear warmclothing.
I almost always carry a gun when I nude hike or am out and about on my property. It's called wildlife. Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Seriously, I saw a nine foot cat with paws (I later measure the tracks) of 4 1/2" run across my back yard. A year ago when I was up on Glade Park at my secret waterfall, I saw a huge Black Bear print. Not only did I carry a gun there after that, I took my Benelli M2 12 gauge!
It might look silly carrying a gun while nude, but my state of dress has nothing to do with it. It is the area in which I live.
Don

Well, if a park ranger happens to come along and see you carrying, in a state or federal park, he will have your balls, not for being nude, but for carrying in the limits of the park. And you have to think about the judge looking at you in your hiking attire, or not.
I have taken a gun with me when I'm out alone in the wilderness because I am on remote fire trails and may not get cell service so if I run into a rattle snake or bob cat I have some protection. Granted it is usually in my back pack and not loaded but I do have bullets with me. But again just for protection from wildlife who seem to leave foot prints behind. I have never thought it wanted a gun at the beach at a nudist resort or to take out the trash. If you live in a neighborhood where at night you can not take out the trash with out need of a gun then it is probably better to wait and do it in broad daylight. And clothed.
A rattle snake rattles to warn you that you are entering his back yard, where you are not wanted. You stop and back up the way you came. Same with cats. They don't like people. We cause trouble and taste funny.
Funny, the person carrying a pistol did not respond to my question about why guns? Instead folks carrying riffles in the wild did. I was referring to concealed pistols.Which if your naked cannot be concealed. But carrying a pistol implies you are in a city or town and I still have to ask why? Has it become so violent and unsafe down there the norm is to shot first and ask questions later?

Don't be so fucking stupid. The population of the United States is 313,910,000. Out of that, there are only 670,439 sworn peace officers, or 0.22% of the population. Police had contact with 53,050,790 people in the United States in one year. That includes traffic stops, citations, warnings, witnesses, services, collisions, reporting, observers, victims, motorists, consensual contact, arrests, etc. Out of those 53,050,790 contacts, there were 26,000 complains filed, which is only 0.049% of the time. Only 2,080 of those complains were actually sustained, which is 0.0039% of the stops. So this whole "shoot first and ask questions later" mentality is absolute bullshit.
I've been in law enforcement for 20 years now and have never once shot anybody.Wow...really? F'ing Stupid? What a jerk! Very impressive statistics though. You know what I don't see...? The percentage of people of color being shot for routing stops vs. the percentage of white people doing the same thing... That might blow a hole in your rates there, but then that's probably why you didn't include them... or has this news not made it to Niagra Falls yet...?

Actually the statistics given by the Washington Post (which we all know is NOT a conservative news organisation) list 1.2 million peace officers in 2015 of that number there were 993 shootings by officers which is less than 1% of that 993 50% were shots fired at a WHITE perp, 25% were at a BLACK perp and the other 25% were at all other races (There are more than two you know). Black VIOLENT crime accounts for 26% of all crime in the US so the ratio is about even although blacks only represent 18% of the population they are RESPONSIBLE for 26% of violent crime.
