Return to DiscussionsPlease can I have volunteers from among the existing members to help enforce the rules and to ensure that it never becomes a totally unmoderated "Widow Group" and dies from lack of new approved members.
In addition to approving new members and pictures moderators should agree to work to the following rules:
1. All prospective members must have enough information in their profile or postings elsewhere in True Nudists to indicate that they are unlikely to be a spammer, scammer or hooker (SSH).
2. Any member posting SSH will be removed from membership of the group be the first moderator to spot it.
3. If any moderator has not logged in for over a year they will be replaced by a new moderator.
4. If any moderator violates these rules by removing members who have not offended under rule 2 or any similar rule properly notified and agreed by ALL moderators they will be removed from the group. If they agree to behave in future they may be readmitted as a member without moderator status.
5. If the number of moderators falls below four, members will be invited to becomse a replacement moderator in the "Moderator Wanted" topic. Once a new moderator has been appointed by agreement btween the existing moderators a moderator who has not signed on for over a year will be removed from the group.
I would be willing to help. I believe I am the one that coined the SSH as Spammers, Scammers and Hookers many months ago, and I have been very vocal about the proliferation of this site by the SSH, even erasing most of my profile for a few months out of disgust.
While I like the idea of a limited and moderated group, the fact that as of this writing there are only 8 members and 0 posts (i will start one shortly) is indicative of how this site has declined due to the administrators allowing the SSH members to run rampant here.
I posted a theory about a year ago that the administrators were getting some sort of payment from the SSH members since if you look at the profiles of the SSH posters they all list Team True 1 & 2 as their first "friends" I was told that that was a default setting so that the administrators could "keep an eye on them." Well when one member posted close to 1000 SSH posts their first month and nothing was done, I theorized that "keeping an eye on them" meant "making sure they get their cut". The core problem is that the business model of this site is not sustainable. Selling $99 lifetime memberships and not attracting new paid members, eventually the revenue stream dries up.
Unfortunately, I made a prediction of the eventual demise of this site. The total infestation of SSH members and their flooding of posts to as many groups as possible would cause the legitimate members to leave or at least greatly reduce their activity here. That has already happened At that point whatever the SSH members are paying will no longer be worth it if the only ones reading their posts are other SSH members, they will eventually quit posting leaving the site virtually dead.
It would be nice if someone that actually cared took over this site. That would be the only hope
When a moderator enters the group they will see three "Moderator Action" optionson the right of the screen.
The "Manage Group Settings" option will not normally be used unless all the moderators agree that something should be changed. But it would be as well to familiarise yourself with what it contains.
If "Approve Pics/Videos" or "Approve Members" contains a red number, click on it and you will see the media or members awaiting moderator approval. Click on the approved or rejected button to approve or reject the member or media.
