Hiking at De Anza

The trails are not exactly marked, but many are pretty obvious. They do have a binder in the sitting room across from the office that has some trails described in it. The map they give you is almost useless (about a 35th generation photocopy). From the office, there is a very nice trail SE (right). You will go by an old movie set and then past the water towers (tanks), you can follow a pretty easy trail up to some great views and beautiful rock formations.
From the opposite side of the resort, there is a trail that takes you by an abandoned train, for an easy yet very pretty hike, you can follow the train tracks. They lead across bridges and through a tunnel. Remember your water, it is warm out there. It is also a good idea to tell the office you are going out hiking and check back in with them, just to be safe - if you don't come back, they send someone looking. There are also sensors located around for illegal immigrants and Border Patrol are very quick to respond. Don't worry, they don't mind if you are naked, and you can't get into any trouble. The office knows where many of them are and can warn Border Patrol, they are pretty far away though.
We're hoping to get out there in mid May for a day of hiking nude. Hopefully it isn't too hot ... if so, we'll probably head down to Black's. Really looking forward to the nude hiking and hoping to find the old movie set to get some pics of my lovely hiking partner! :D

In any hike, make sure you're prepared(water, food, map, first aid, etc) and let somebody know where you are and what time you'll be back from your hike.

Thanks, Tim. Hiked there two years ago. Enjoyed tremendously. Little chance of meeting textiles, seemed to me. It's a twisty two hour drive from little Borrego Springs for me, so don't go often. Can hike nude in Borrego easily too. But, no great nudist resort awaiting at end off Borrego hikes. De Anza is great!
Since my first post, we've visited DeAnza several times. It's about 2 hours away from home and we'd visit more often but with our club being only 30 minutes away and another nude club about 45 mins away, we opt to visit those two more often than we do DeAnza, but we do love the naked hiking opportunities and I love the desert environment but my wife hates the dirt.
We've scoped out the surrounding area and plan to stay at DeAnza a couple of nights and take the Jeep and go exploring some 4x4 trails and do some Naked 4x4'ing.
