Return to DiscussionsHad to return my vehicle to the farm and off load some excess gear that I was not taking overseas with me. Its was a nice warm day so as soon as I cleared the city I stopped and stripped off for another 100km clothes free trip only covering my lap if I passed other vehicles.
Arriving at the farm I stayed nude to unload the vehicle. Dressing just beore a friend picked me up to take me to the rail station. I would have loved to strip off on the train but my sence of modesty and textile conformity meant I stayed clothed for the 2 hour return trip.
I see that it is legal to drive naked in New South Wales here in Australia. But don't flash kids on busses as one guy found out the hard way, so I always err on the side of caution and cover up as I mentioned earlier. But won't be doing much nude driving for a while as I am now in Vietnam and they don't like nude people in public, plus the scooter is a bit open.
I have driven home from the nude beach or resort and yes I drove without shorts. Always left the shirt on because the seatbelt is uncomfortable without one. It is a great feeling just even in the car. I use to think that a passing car might be able to see me but then realized that if i can't see if they have on shorts, most likely they can't see if I do. Maybe a semi driver.

That's the norm for us, especially from the beach. Once back
at the car and I drive to a secluded place, we strip and give each
other a sponge down. My wife will put on a shirt, usually
mine and most times leave it unbuttoned. I drive completely
nude and we head for home. If we aren't in a
rush, we take a back road for about 17 miles through the
hills/mountains and can leave the windows down and enjoy a nice
leisurely drive at about 40 mph. It's one of the
highlights of the day!
I used to own a truck. It was a high profile truck but only
standard height as a 4x4. I could see down onto the laps of those
sitting beside me in the very small compact cars. A standard car
was even difficult to get a full view of their laps. I used to check these cars out all the time,trying to find similar cars to ours to see just how well other trucks and high profile vehicles could see into our cars. They don't, as you stated, can't see into our car as well as we'd thought. Yes, semis,
buses and large delivery trucks or custom high profile trucks
probably have a better view than standard height vehicles but I
tend to keep my distance from the driver's view. I don't pace these
vehicles and if possible, I just cruise passed them fast enough so
they can never really get a clear view or long enough view. At
most, they may think ... "is that guy naked?" By then, I'm passed
them and far enough away.
If traffic is bad enough and I'm passing these types of vehicles, I
simply grab my shorts and place them over my lap. Even though my
nakedhip may be exposed, my genitals are covered and that's
good enough for me. They may think, suspect, know I'm
driving naked but my genitals are covered and that's what I care
about when passing other vehicles that "may" be able to see
in. The fact that I also have dark tint on all our vehicles,
gives me extra coverage and protection.
Most times, 90+% of the people driving aren't paying attention to
the cars next to them. Too busy on their cell phones! :D
Well ... we were able to make it to our friends winter home in AZ. With a 5 hour drive there and home and a 4 night stay ... all in the nude, what better way to get that long weekend started then a naked drive there and end the awesome stay with friends, with a naked drive home.
I did get out of the Jeep a couple of times to water a bush and did a little freehiking and stretching of the legs. Some cars passed by and didn't seem to pay much attention, care or maybe they didn't even see me. My wife stretched her legs by the car but was cold and stayed close to the car and wrapped in a blanket.
We are now planning a much longer trip with some textile friends so ... my naked driving will be exactly what I need for those many days where we will have to remain clothed. It's our hope to visit a resort in AZ and spend a few nights to check the place out thoroughly, then onto NM with a bit more naked driving until we reach our textile destination and our textile friends. The following 1.5 weeks will be clothed most of the time until we retire to our coach at night, close the curtains and get naked to air out our skin! :D
Should be between 6.5 hr and 8 hr naked drives on that trip. I'm looking forward to those!
Your making me jealous Andy, can't do it here in Saigon,
1. I don't have a car.2. The general populas and powers to be are a little uptight when nudity is involved.3. Riding the scooter is a little to open thus not a good idea to ride it naked but hell wish we could.
Not as long as the trip in my previous post but another naked drive to and from our club! We checked in after hours so I was able to drive right up to the gate and the night manager opened the Dutch door. I gave him my info and he opened the gate. I got out of the motorhome naked and began setting up! We were naked for about 95% of the last 4 days! One short trip back home to attend a dinner and then right back in the car, naked and drove back to the club.
We left the club this evening and I drove naked to the shopping center to stop for a cold drink for the ride home. If the Starbucks could have accommodated the motorhome ... I would have driven thru! :D Back in the motorhome and naked again and then the 40 minute drive home. It only takes 30 minutes to get to the club but took my time coming home! Once home, we needed to unpack and unload all our stuff. The motorhome is parked in such a way that I was able to exit and go back and forth to the house and motorhome with nothing on! My wife was a bit chicken but jealous! :D She kept her sheer dress on but then walked down to the mailbox to get the last four days mail. Pretty gutsy! I was dark so that also helped me and her! ;-)
Warm weather has made me want to drive naked all I can. I'm relatively new to this, having started last fall. But warm weather has been a huge encouragement. It was only recently I got the courage to drive completely nude during the day, instead of just at night. Today I had to run an errand. After I completed it I had the urge to take off all my clothes for the drive home. So I did. And I took the long way! All windows down, sunroof open and a glorious breeze. Driving naked is one of the most relaxing and exciting feelings there is. If anyone reading this is curious about driving naked, don't be hesitant. If you can't muster the courage to do it immediately during the day, work up to it like I did. Just be as careful as possible. I guarantee you will enjoy it.

Watch drivers as you pass them, or they pass you. Men will look over almost 95% of the time. Women about 5-10%, and that's being generous.

Those figures seem very high to me. Most people, certainly in the UK tend to worry more about driving than looking.
Having said that, if other drivers do look, what will they see?
If it's night time, they will probably only see you head lights as you see theirs.
If you're both travelling the same way, it will be too dark to see anything. When driving at night, can you see your waist?, below your waist?
During the day, if driving in the opposite direction, the most they could see - if they're looking - is that you're topless.
If you're travelling in the same direction, then there is a risk, but still a very slight one.
Don't believe me? Next time you're driving, see if you can see whether any of the other drivers on the road are nudists?
There are only really two risks, and then only really on multi-lane roads like motorways (freeways)
1) buses. They have lots of passengers, who don't have to concentrate on driving, and who are usually higher up, and look down into your car.
2) traffic jams, where a driver isn't having to concentrate, and can look round. If you're stationery, then they have all the time in the world to have a look round.
What I do with (2) above is just make sure I never stop right beside the other cars. You only have to be offset slightly to be safe. For buses, I just make sure I overtake them quickly. Drop back a little until there is a big enough gap, then overtake quickly and then slow down again.
The only reason my wife won't ride completely naked is because her boobs would possibly be seen. Most likely not in the late evening hours but then she get cold easily and those times, she'll wear one of my button up shirts, if we've been to the beach, club or a resort and leave it unbuttoned. It's kind of a security blanket. ;-)
The most daring she's gotten has been in the motorhome where she wears cover ups we specifically bought for her when we are driving long distances. Sheer, buttoned tops that are about long enough to cover her butt. She'll, most times, unbutton the cover up and put her feet up on the dash board and enjoy the same freedom we experience at home, while on the road.
We're planning another long RV trip after the holidays. We have a few trips planned already and it leaves very little time on the calendar to pack up the motorhome and head out for a couple of weeks. Once the holidays are over, we'll be hitting the road again and hopefully do two or three 2 week road trips. Til then, just have continue to enjoy the naked driving I do around town and one day trips to various places.
