Driving Naked
For those who enjoy driving in the nude.
Hello everyone
Return to DiscussionsI had a county sheriff tell me that there's no specific law against driving nude in Florida but that anyone who sees you and is offended can make an indecent exposure complaint and then it is incumbent upon the individual to prove they were not "lewd or lascivious". Also, if you have clothes (i.e. shorts) that you intend to pull on while driving for whatever reason, and a cop can "demonstrate that intent", then you can be charged with "distracted driving"...and the police WILL use that charge. Again, it would be up to you to somehow prove otherwise. Oddly, there IS a statute making the actual act of undressing or dressing in public illegal. He didn't specify what that means, but I'd guess that it means getting into your vehicle nude at home and being feasibly nude without clothes in sight until you return home. So even driving nude to the nude beach would be a violation because the ranger at the entrance would be able to make an allegation...that's my interpretation anyway.
