Return to DiscussionsI'm not brave enough to drive down a US highway or interstate in the nude unless it's under the cloak of darkness. It's really the only time I am really nervous about being seen nude by others...mainly cops. After dark, there is less traffic, too, and when it is dark, I'll drive for miles that way. I have also found that if I'm driving at nude at night with the windows down and radio cranked, it helps me feel less fatigued and more awake on the highways. So, I actually prefer to drive at night. It's also cooler during the summer months although this August here at the top of Texas, it's been cooler all the time compared to most Augusts. Of course, anything below 90 feels cool in Texas during the summer months.
Driving nude is a good way to fight fatigue or the bored drowsy. Highways and interstates bother me less than running through cities and towns. But, I am concerned about having busses alongside! The drivers only have short glimpse and difficult to "assess" the situation. But, passengers in high buses can stare, gawk, and see! I either pass with some speed, or throw a shirt or towel over for the moment.
I had a 1.5 hour naked drive to Doncaster yesterday, returning today. My drive was mainly on motorway but also through the big town of Doncaster. The motorway was congested yesterday causing me to run alongside lorries (trucks) and a bus for some time. I know I was seen. One particular boy on the bus turned to get a full look of me and then started visibly laughing and cheering.
Do any of you guy look out you windows at other people in their cars or trucks. If you did they you would see that 99% cannot see your lap area and 99% are looking at the road in front of them anyway. The only time someone might see you is if you pull up to the right side of a bus and someone is sitting directly next to you and also happens to look down at you. Trucker's would have to have a passenger which almost never happens and if they or a bus are on you left side they will only see the roof of you car. When I pull up to the left side of a pickup or a SUV at a stop light I always make sure they are a little ahead or behind me but then again they are looking ahead anyway. I drive naked all the time, never had a problem.

I actually and finally went out and drove naked some in the city and daylight recently, and this post came to mind. You mention trucks and SUVs here. That's a big issue here, because a very large percentage of all of the vehicles on the road are SUVs or trucks, and I've done the same thing about stopping a little ahead or a little behind neighboring vehicles for years. I've always done that for safety, not privacy. I'm not sure if it was something drilled into be as a cop on patrol or it's PTSD related from my military service. Either way, I am always very aware of my surroundings no matter where I'm at. I think that if y'all make a mental note, you'll notice that cops usually don't stop directly beside you. When you're in a patrol car or even on foot, being in a car or uniform with a badge is like making yourself a target. I'm not paranoid or hyper-aware; I'm just cautious. It's worked, too. For me, it's like not sitting with my back to the door in a restaurant and also trying to sit somewhere, so I can see everyone in the dining room.
When I drive nude.... I keep a pair of shorts that I can lay over my lap when a larger vehicle or bus comes along.
if I get pulled over.... the shorts slip on real easy.
keep a tshirt handy also in case I get I get pulled over..... since cops are wearing cams these days... dont want to be on cam without a shirt...

I regularly do a 200 mile, 4 hour drive between Essex and North Yorkshire. It is always during the day and the road (the A1 and A1(M) ) is often congested causing me to drive slowly alongside others. The best thing is I can do it door to door naked, getting into the car naked at the start and out naked at the end. Lately I've put all my clothes in the boot (trunk) and out of reach. I make sure the fuel tank is full and carry a packed lunch and something to pee in.
My friend and I have strip on getting into our hire car in Spain. One time we were told off for arriving at the nudist resort already naked.
Just this weekend I did a similar drive - 215 miles there on Saturday, and the same back on Sunday. I use a lay-by for naked pee-ing, choosing ones where I may be seen but only by cars that wouldn't be able to stop, but I'm not brave enough to not have at least some form of covering on the passenger seat.
I have been enjoying nude driving since I was able to drive. I have always enjoyed my time doing it. I started out doing it at night. But soon included during the day time hours also. I do live in a rural area so it is fairly easy to do during the day. I have been seen and caught a few times. Most went well.. One of my first times being caught in the day was way back when I was 17..I had a cherry red '67 Chevelle. I was enjoying a nude ride out of town when I came up on the back of a school bus. I had stripped everything off and threw it in the back seat. As I was following the bus I noticed three young ladies sitting in the back seat. ..Well one of them turned around and was kneeling on the seat looking out at me. She then turned to say something to the other two girls. They also turned and looked out the window. I saw them smiling and pointing at me. They were enjoying something. Then it finally dawned on me. They could see I was nude. At first a bit of panic came over me. I have always tried not to be an exhibitionist with my nudity. I had no where to turn off. They seemed alright with it so I just waved back. I followed them for a few more miles all the time they were glued to the back window of the bus. They ended up turning off the road onto another all three girls gave me . A wave goodbye and blew me a kiss. It was very exciting being nude in front of them. I never herd a thing about it so I take it the girls kept it their little secret. I did learn a good lesson that day. Always keep a pair of shorts or cover up with in reaching distance . Just in case you need it.
Yes Nuderider. It is more sensible to keep something in reach if you have to cover up. But I find it much more fun not to. The risk of being seen and unable to cover adds an extra buzz. There are times I have driven naked without taking any sort of clothing or cover with me. Of course it needs some confidence that I can get out of the car naked at the destination, and a full fuel tank.
