They never acknowledge or return a message or a post for them. They join lots of groups as to get even more access to more friend requests. Taking a pre-emptive approach to fakes
Return to DiscussionsIn order to cut down on friend request from fakes, I've added a new step to my daily logins. After checking for new msgs I go right to the "FEED" banner at upper left and click on it. I look for new members who've signed up in the last 24 hrs and click on the probable fakes, i.e. system-generated user names, obvious clothed glamour headshots, no profile info, links to other websites, etc. You all know what to look for. I then block anywhere from 1-3 dozen of these newbies. This has dramatically reduced the number of new friend requests from beautiful fakes who just can't wait to be friends with this 68 year old man. Try it and see if it helps!
