My dad and me bonding
Return to DiscussionsMy father is not a nudist, but he has no problem being naked at home. Since I was little I was like that, then I had a time when I was more shy, but after a few years I was not ashamed to be naked in front of him either. Now, every time I visit him we can sometimes still see each other naked at home or in the shower.
Surely, you jest! If I told my siblings and mom (dad passed away in 2021) that I am a nudist and partake/enjoy social outdoor nude recreation, they would hold a prayer vigil for my soul to be saved from perdition. If I told any co-workers, I would be prosecuted for sexual harassment. No thanks! I will keep my nudism to myself and share only with those who are already nudists/naturists. Cheers!

Wonderful. I love the sense of freedom and no pressure. We believe that one of the reasons our sons stayed nudist through puberty and the teenage years was that we led by example but never ever pressured them to be nude. It was always their own choice and thankfully they chose to be natural and free in body and mind.
If I told my mom or siblings of my nudist lifestyle/activities, I would be cast out as a pervert or homosexual. And they would do so as an act of 'pity.' I can't change their way of thinking and have no interest in expending energy trying to do so. Things are good the way they are. I prefer to work on building relationships with the like-minded true nudists I have met on this website.
Many of us have faced that concern. But its well worth standing up against it.
In my case, my mother was a religion-obsessed prude. I rebelled as a boy and ( with my dads knowledge and quiet approval ) became a nudist. Then as an adult I decided to assert WHO I AM. She was staying over with us and I went to the loo during the night. On my way back to the bedroom she was standing in the hallway. She looked me up and down and with horror in her voice she asked What's THIS?? ( I was naked ). I calmly answered: Its a penis. And went back to the bed. Next morning when she surfaced I was cooking breakfast naked. I decided that having broken the ice I wasnt going backwards. Years later when our sons came along she had a simple choice between seeing her only grandchildren and son naked or not visiting us. She got over it ! She had been a ruthless enforcer of her views. I just applied her own rule: My house, my rules!
While my dad was not a nudist, he was very open about nudity and when I was younger allowed me to be open about it as well. Our bonding and together time was usually in the evenings when wed shower together and then stay nude and hang out, watch tv, etc afterward. It built a tremendous closeness between us and taught me masculinity and Im ecstatic to have been able to pass that on.
My dad is a nudist and I was raised as a nudist. Im convinced that is the reason he and I are so close. He was always very open minded and wanted me to have all the nude father/son experiences that he always wanted but never had. The bond he and I have is incredibly strong still to this day and I am forever grateful to him for it
You are absolutely fortunate to have such a deep and long-lasting experiences and relationships with him. To this day, you two are so strongly connected, bonded, and affectionate with each other.
