what would you do to get your dad more confortable with nudism?
Return to DiscussionsMy dad isnt a nudist, but Ive been trying to help him feel more comfortable being nude at home. Ive started walking around naked after showers and things like that. I dont want to have a serious conversation about it yet, but I was wondering if theres anything else I could do to make this feel more natural for him before I try to talk to him about it
Thats awesome buddy! First thing I would say is be yourself. There is nothing wrong with being nude in your own home. I have had roommates in the past that bitched about me running around naked in the house. I wish now I had told them to get used to it. Second, you cant convince others that what youre doing is what they should be doing, but you can continue to provide an example of how it helps you be your true self, and how perhaps it helps you destress and relax. I have friends who visit and theyre used to me being nude, but after all this time they still havent joined me. I dont know how to fix that, so I dont worry about it. Just be yourself bud! My dad is comfortable with me being naked in front of him. He has never had any issues with nudity in how he grew up and being in the Navy. Instead of just spring it on him I just told him I like being nude and hanging out with nudist friends and going to nudist resort with them and the Korean spa. To me if he knows what you are most comfortable with then that should help him know how much and how often he can be nude and have you okay with it. Guessing game isnt good just open up and share your thoughts about nudism what you like about it, how it makes you feel and how comfortable you are with him being naked how much and how often etc. this should be a mature conversation and discussion so you should also share that seeing morning erections is fine natural and normal. You dont like dick shaming etc. After you share all your thoughts feelings and information about nudism then ask him what he thinks of all you just told him. See if he will open up and share after you did. Good luck
It sounds like you live with your dad. Youre a grown adult and can make you own choices and while its good to be respectful of others feelings you should also have the freedom to live how you like in your home. Just exist, do what you want, be naked, and he may get more comfortable with it. If you dont make it a big deal and its just a normal way of being that makes it easier.
Billybare, your comments about talking to Dad are perfect. If a Dad will listen to your entire message, and see you in the course of the following days, they will act in a positive way to you and other nudes at home and perhaps elsewhere.
