Fit Fifties

New (2015) group for men who are in their 50s (or, perhaps older) but are healthy enough - physically and mentally - to LOOK and FEEL much younger than their years. There is no need to accept middle age spread and join the bear community when health and well-being are possible well past the expected decline of the 40s.

Over the past three years I have adopted an varied exercise regime with extraordinary results.Try any type of crossfit: you work muscle strength, oxygen capacities and heart health all at the same time.Along with work on my diet (see my other post), I have cut my blood pressure by 30 points (both indices) and my resting heart rate is down to 50bpm.I also run between 5 and 9 km per day, subject to weather and other schedule restrictions. I find that I now cannot go a day without some activity.My other physical activities include Iyengar Yoga and 5Rhythms dance.
