Return to Discussionsi wear out a lot of flip flops have discovered spend a little more $ and not buy the cheap dollar ones. at camp i stash my tennis shoes in the car and don my flip flops only time i go barefoot is in the grass or getting in pool or hot tub . one thing i discovered years ago never hike in flip flops even the ones with backstraps aren't sufficient for rough terrain although the camp i visit now is pretty flat so they are ok for the path. and of course at the beach again tennis shoes in the car out come the flip flops yeah ever watch those do the nude dance on hot sand lol to me sand is like pavement once i reach water even my feet are nude.
I love wearing flip-flops and would do so all year if the weather permitted it. I tried to do so one winter but it was just too darn cold for my feet. One thing I especially like about flip-flops is that they allow me to get quickly barefoot to undress or to drive barefoot. The only tanlines I find acceptable are those left by the thong on the flip-flop. As someone else on this thread posted, wearing tennis shoes while nude just isn't right (and tennis shoes leave horrid tanlines).
I'm usually barefoot but there are times when footwear is necessary. Flip flops are the only footwear for me at nudist clubs and resorts, if not barefoot. I'll wear them to a function/event but once there, if it's feasible, I'm barefoot. My feet are not all callused and tough. I get pedicures with my wife almost every two weeks. I like to keep my feet clean and soft but really prefer to be barefoot as much as possible.
