Return to DiscussionsWe did two hikes on the Bartram Trail in northeast Georgia.
Wednesday's hike was 12. 2 miles with a couple of spur trail adventures. We got some nice photos on Pinnacle Knob and also at Maritn Creek Falls. We hiked north to south from Wilson Gap to Warwoman Dell, mostly downhill. We had four nudists on this hike. Got some water time under Matin Creek Falls.
Thursday's hike was somewhat shorter at 6.4 miles. More canopy on this hike, but not as scenic. This hike went south to north from Beegum Gap, in Georgia to Osage Mountain Overlook, in NC. Three nudists on this hike.
Thoroughly enjoyed hiking this trail with the other men on Wednesday. Was a little bit skeptical that I would be able to keep up with these seasoned hikers; but, it was an awesome experience and I am looking forward to doing another. Pinnacle Knob added about 2 miles to the trek but was worth the extra effort. And the highlight for me was the refreshing splash in the water fall. It just washed off the dirt and sweat from the trail and set me up for the last 3 miles. It was a great day with good company and exercise I could handle, although I was sore for 2 or 3 days after.
