Whos getting ready for Spring?
Return to DiscussionsWeve got blue skies, a few puffy clouds, about 70F and a light breeze; whos prepping for spring? We all have our regular routine but the return of warm weather beckons us all to go get started on our projects and our all over tan. Im cleaning the pool & deck and tidying up the yard. Whats everyone elses plan?
I'll be getting started soon and I'm a little bit bummed. The lot next door has been vacant for several years but now new construction is getting underway and my current level of bushyness isn't really sufficient. Granted the new leaves haven't really filled in yet, and that will be starting soon. But even so, they've cleaned out the bushes on the other property so my bushes are going to have to do double duty. I'm just not sure yet how this is gonna work out.
Wheres the rest of our group? I have pared this group down to the folks that demonstrated the most participation & regionally relevant stories . . . what do the rest of you folks have going? Inquiring nudists want to hear from you.
That's right John -- you tell 'em! Nudity at home and in the backyard is good. But let's all get together and make it social (which is "gooder!").
Now, I know the theme of this discussion is getting ready for spring, which I am not. And my contribution is to say that social "backyard" nudity is great, Well then . . . how 'bout all you nudists come to my place for a naked backyard work-a-thon? :) Derek
Do you have an approximate date in mind? We have a few things scheduled this summer & I may end up being free moving help for my son. That's going to be somewhat of an involved process. We usually do Hidden Lake for July 4 fireworks as it's a good show and good people to talk to. Let me know your plan & I'll check on my end. John
We are in Pensacola for a couple of days. So far...the Vespas and motorcycle are running again. The fishing truck is running again. The pool is back in shape, but a bit brisk at 75 degrees F. We are working on the yard today and tomorrow. Our hope is to be here in June and July with most of the chores done. The new sliding doors are installed on the new side courtyard. I'm stilling figuring out what sort of gate it needs. We have morning coffee and happy hour there and would like to complete the privacy to the front of the house.
We are trying ! With so many projects at Fish Nature Camp and Gypsy Beach, when we throw in the mix about getting the Nood Pontoon ready for the April cruise, it seems an impossible set of tasks. We are making headway , and Nature is cooperating.
I just thought I'd mention that Spring is here and Summer is not too far off. It's been great here; I'm working on getting the pool deck cleaned (bought a new pressure washer), some of the yard picked up (a never ending project), the garden in some sort of decent state and making sure the vegetation does not take over the yard. It's not really a big deal but there's just so much to do! I'm mowing about 2-3 acres with a 46" cut lawn tractor & that takes hours not to mention all the other stuff that goes into keeping your yard / acreage up. And, I had not really mentioned it but I re-injured my back about 3 months ago and am just now getting able to do some of the larger projects; the chiropractor continues to just shake his head & the orthopedic guy wants to send me off for surgery. Ughhhhhh, that stuff is definitely not for the wimps! Anyway, we're pressing on as the pool temps are up to 81F yesterday so a little pool time is not far off. Maybe the rest of you can have more luck getting your project done than I. Let's all keep everyone posted on their progress.
