Really? While I did so quite often in the '70s, I'm haven't felt so free this decade. I can't say I've been all over the island, though. Do tell what section you're talking about. "between the two parking areas" is pretty vague. Gulf side? Bay side? The two parking areas on either side of what used to be The Matterhorn Dune? The last time I was in that last area, it was fairly crowded with textile beach goers and Pompano fishermen.

I would love to find such a "known nude area" on Okaloosa Island.

Sounds a bit frantic to me, but I may try later this year. We're working frantically on my friend's boat trying to get it ready to put in the water for Cobia season. They're here and we're not fishing!

Well, I never!

That is, not since the 70's when that was the Officers' Beach Club. I'll have to check it out some week day. Thanks for the update!

Yes, we both have those permits.

I did get to spend a little naked time there last summer. Not much, though. Even though it was early morning, there were several walkers & joggers going by. And just a short time after I put my tan-through swim trunks on, one of those turtle patrol ATVs sped by.

This image was wide angle and the kayak fishermen were definitely close enough to see me, but I don't think they were looking ashore at all.

Weird. Somebody deleted all their posts and it looks like I'm talking to myself in this thread.

The closest "sanctioned" places are Riviera Naturist Resort and Hidden Lake Resort.

That picture was taken before 8:00 AM just east of Beasley Park. Not official and a bit risky. Specifically, it was here.
