Why Shouldn't Nudism be About Showing Off?
Return to DiscussionsMaybe not entirely, that would be rather boring, but I think that looking and being looked at is one of the things I like best.
As I said elsewhere in this group, I think girls have by far the better deal where showing off is concerned. It isn't just our anatomy, it is the attitude of society as well.
I don't think a man could match this for display:

For me, being a nudist/naturist is about taking care of my body and being proud to show it off. I'm well past my prime, but I'm healthy and virile. I still get compliments from other nudists, when I'm on a nudist beach, and I like to see other healthy naked people enjoying themselves. Some nudists have tattoos and intimate piercings, which are like saying "Look at me, I'm sexy". My own preference is for smooth pubes, but hey, it's a free world! Being a nudist is feeling good about yourself. Enjoy!

Thank you, Dave. Sorry I missed your post originally - glad you liked it. I still remember that day with a bit of an excited shiver - flashing in public is not usually my style, especially not in Italy which is more more stitched-up than France about nudity.

Nudism is a celebration of natural life. Showing off that we revel in that life is fun. I agree that the norms of social nudism should be a little more flexible so every nudist can feel comfortable showing off a little, especially when the viewer appreciates the view. I certainly do and I hope other nudists find my nudity attractive as well. Does that make me a show-off?
I think we are all exhibitionists at heart but you win the grand prize, Pamela. Please don't stop showing off your lovely body.
I just had an idea. How about us all posting pics of Pamela's fans. Of course none of us could compete with the great lady herself. I guess we'd be a fairly motley crowd, a mixed bunch. Well here is one fan for starters.

You are so right s- and -b!! There is a huge amount of exhibitionism on textile beaches and you could argue that the swimsuit that reveals almost everything is far more erotic than the naked body. I don't think I am a conscious show-off but I have no worries at all about sunbathing and walking around nude on a beach where there are also some textiles.J(Sussexwoman)
