For me it is about 7 years.
I had been freeballing more often when not at work for a few years before I retired.
Once I retired I wore it less and less and about 2 years after, I stopped completely and got rid of the last of my underwear.
Around the house, sitting outside, in the pool, sleeping all that is fine with no undies. I wear them when I go to work or am out and about. This is primarily due to not wanting my penis to be obvious in work slacks, not wanting drip marks to show, and for comfort too. My testicles hang low and can be bothersome sometimes so thats a consideration. Its odd Ive run nude and everything works out fine but since I cant run nude in my neighborhood I usually wear a jockstrap when I run. I did recently buy some running shorts that have a pouch inside and have worn those but since they are super short I wear them when the temps are warmer.
Forever for me! I was raised by my single gay Dad. We were farmers and he never wore underwear, and so I did not. The last time I wore something like that it was my diapers! I purchased underwear in case I needed to wear a tux. I put them on and immediately threw them in the wastebasket!
Before I retired 3 weeks ago, I would only wear them to work.
Are you planning to get rid of your underwear soon or have you already done so?
If I knew how soon I would stop wearing underwear after I retired, I would have counted my underwear and undershirts and put them in the trash instead of the laundry that many work days before I retired so the last of it would have gone into the trash when I got home from my last day of work!
Just over 2 months ago. Had to have briefs to wear home from my vasectomy.
Beyond that, I keep a few pairs of boxers/boxer briefs for occasions (usually 3-4 times a year, 2-3 days during those times) that I staff a conference for work. Those are long days of toting around heavy cases of equipment in clothes branded with our client's logo, and swamp-ass is real. :-)
But it's been in the neighborhood of 20 years since I started going commando effectively full time.
