Yeah, I don't find this the least bit odd. Erections are as natural as being naked.

I think most guys get erections, being naked, and chatting with two or more men in an intimate setting. It's not because of a homosexual attraction to another man, but rather, I think to the comfort level projected, and the acceptance of everyone involved. Just as 'being naked and being sexual', are two different things. Having an erection in front of anyone, in any setting, does NOT mean the man is turned-on sexually.Well said!!!

It's also about body language. There's a difference between getting
hard and it being an 'oh well' momentvs getting hard with
sexual overtones; the body language is different. I agree, that I'm more likely to let it happen in
a social setting if I'm with guys that I'm comfortable with and who
understand that there is no sexual intent.

I'd say erections are pretty contagious, especially in a setting like a gay campground.

Getting hard is totally natural. It happens in your sleep, why not when you are awake.
I dont mind, and feel a bit flattered if a guys is comfortable to get hard around me.

Unfortunately, at 60 they'll only happen when stimulated - either physically (either me or someone else playing with me) or visually (watching someone else going at it). It won't happen spontaneously anymore. :(
